General properties
Top  Previous  Next

These settings define general properties of an object.

Type: This field shows the object type. For example: polyline, rectangle, ellipse, text, group etc.

Name: You can give each object a unique name. In most cases you do not have to name every object manually. Nevertheless, there are cases (e.g. when choosing an object to be show/hide on mouse over) when you have to select a certain object by its name from the list of all available objects. The object list can be really large and in that case it is useful to rename the necessary object so that it had some meaningful name to find it faster in the list.

Hide object: Allows the object to be unseen when application starts.

Lock object: Locking objects at design time is useful when you've got them exactly where you want them and you don't want to accidentally move or resize the objects as you continue working on your project.

Available for all object types .
